3GT's The Right Thing Gets Some Great Press!!!
THE RIGHT THING by AJ Baker just got a rave review from critic Jean Schiffman who writes for The SF Examiner and the SF arts insert to the Sunday New York Times. She calls the play a "smart world premiere" and says it's "an intriguing tale of high-level greed, ruthlessness and moral bankruptcy that keeps us guessing, as new allegations and secrets are gradually revealed, and iffy new strategies plotted." She applauds the playwright, the superstar cast, the director and our new company! http://www.sfexaminer.com/entertainment/theater/2012/03/new-troupe-tells-intriguing-tale-greed#ixzz1pAWCdKv1
The Bay Guardian also did a full photo essay on the show this week: (http://www.sfbg.com/pixel_vision/2012/03/12/live-shots-womens-history-month-office-intrigue-3-girls-theatre) and SFBG'S theatre critic Rob Avila writes that THE RIGHT THING " takes issues of sexual politics and power in its high-powered setting and cracks them against the everyday familial and social dynamics that are perhaps a casualty of the corporate ethos…"

REVIEWS:
SF Weekly Review For Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief by Lily Janiak:
"But the more static scenes require actresses of more mettle to keep things interesting. Wolfe makes for a perfect Desdemona, a bully, straight out of Mean Girls, who makes you alternately squirm and sympathize."...
Sara Couden Review of Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief:
"Karina Wolfe does a great job of playing this version of the character as manipulative, rather unlikeable, and yet extroardinarily sympathetic--her Desdemona, we realize, is a woman who simply can't be satisfied by the world she lives in."

SF Bay Gaurdian Review by Ariel Soto-Suver:
"All the actors held their ground while playing either a super-smart judge or a super-slimy ex-boss, but the real fireball of the show was spunky-punk Sam- the sexual harrassment victim-- played by Karina Wolfe. With a red head of hair and serious Madonna lace gones, Wolfe's character brought something colorful and quirky to the world of "execute Barbies."

SF Examiner Review for The Right Thing by Jean Schiffman:
"Credit powerhouse actor Catherine Castellanos as the train wreck of a central character and the rest of the able cast.... She may indeed have sexually harassed a teenage girl employee, portrayed with just the right degree of adolescent rage by Karina Wolfe..."

Richard Connema's Review for The Right Thing:
"Many of the scenes are well done especially the confrontation scenes between Zell and her attorney and the scenes between her and her godchild....Karina Wolfe as the godchild Sam Curtin gives a genuine performance dressed as a punk child. Her confrontation scene with Zell is a high point of this rapid pace drama."

FringeNYC Festival Review by Roger Nasser:
"Watching these two actresses is surely a delight. They have amazing chops as performers and delve into the characters with force. My main problem with Fancy Guts & Ghosts is that it is really short. I wanted more. That isn't a bad thing though—I was taken by them into this world that they created and I loved it.
Fancy Guts & Ghosts is a FringeNYC Festival gem. It reminded me of the early days of the festival, when there were more experimental shows that relied more on the performances and less on a gimmick. These two women handle their material and subject matter with poise and sincerity. They bring humor and honesty to their work. I sincerely hope that these two amazing performers keep bringing great works to the stage."

SF Examiner Review of The Lion in Winter by Jim Stroupe:
"Karina Wolfe’s Princess Alais Capet is charmingly dangerous as she tries to force a murderous choice on Henry. "

Betty Does Article: Cinnamon & Scripts: Karina Wolfe, by Jesse Silver
"The first time I saw Karina on stage I specifically remember a moment when, during the most emotional point in her performance, all the shuffles of the squeaky audience seats ceased. The room went absolutely silent. Fluid and raw, her performance stole us all."
